Young Artists Competition

Orchestra Omaha has the honor of holding a Young Artists Competition during the fall/winter of each season.  The competition is open to students in the following categories form Nebraska, western Iowa and southeast South Dakota.

  • String players ages 9-13 compete in the Junior Division
  • String players ages 14-18 compete in the Senior Division
  • Wind, brass, percussion, piano and harp players ages 13-18 compete in the Orchestral Division

Thanks to valuable feedback received from students, parents and teachers, our committee has revised the audition process, which will now be held in a SINGLE round format. The Round 1 Zoom auditions have been cancelled.
The application period for 2020-2021 is open. Applications will be accepted from January 18th, 2021 through March 5th, 2021. Interested applicants should complete the online application form
