Orchestra Omaha will perform the world premiere of American composer Eric Ewazen’s Piano Concerto during its Feb. 11 concert, titled “American Experiences.” 

Pianist and dedicatee of Ewzazen’s concerto, Tammy Miller, is set to perform the piece with Orchestra Omaha during a one-night performance. To complete the program, Orchestra Omaha will also perform Antonín Dvořák’s Suite in A Major, subtitled the “American Suite,” and Samuel Coleridge-Taylor’s “The Song of Hiawatha.” 

The performance will take place on Saturday, Feb. 11 at 7 p.m. in the Simon Concert Hall at the Omaha Conservatory of Music (7023 Cass St. in Omaha).

Tickets are not needed for the Feb. 11 performance. Orchestra Omaha offers free admission to all its concerts; however, A $10 donation is suggested to support the orchestra. Donations can be made online or in person at the concert.
